I normally make CP soap..but I'm blaming the whole state of TX for NOT being able to consistently make a decent bar of soap..bwahahaha!

sooo..I thought I would dive into the world of HP..and about 3 weeks ago the ONLY HP I knew about was the electronics company..soo through LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of video watching and reading tutes til I couldnt read tutes no more..I decided to make my first batch..which now has been about 5 batches ago Smiley

heres the fruits of my first labor..

I was quite surprised at how smooth it came out as far as a finished bar..I was thinking it was going to be rougher..but aside from the top being more textured than I usually get I am quite pleased at how awesome it was to make!

I used my crockpot and all in all the process took about an hour or so-which was weird because some of the tutes I've seen said something like 3-5 hours  Shocked

anywho..its scented with 'the little black dress' scent from aroma haven..which BTW is a company that I am currently in love with..after a few debacles with other suppliers and scent issues this company has so far been VERY consistent with how their scent perform and I've been super happy with their goodies-I've found a new love of 'Strawberry Musk'..OMG!! why is it that the ones that you buy as a 4oz bottle are the ones that you fall in love with.. Smiley

lol!  I was doing that too!  i kept getting these stupid loaves of crumbly soap that wouldnt slice neatly.  And i was getting mad at houston for being stupid and humid and hot and gross and probably messing up my recipes.  then i tweaked the recipe to include more olive oil and less crisco, and started standing on a stool when i slice the soap so i have more leverage.  presto!  clean slices!  lol

Im looking for more scents so thanks for the heads up on that company!

It's beautiful, Smitten!  And now you're giving me fragrance envy....

Ug, I've had crumbly soaps, too.  I hate it.  Congrats on finding a fix, icebyrd!
