Inspired by a skirt I got off eBay, I did this really easy recon on this skirt I've had for a while. All I did was sew ribbon ties on the inside seams. I can untie them and wear the skirt straight if I ever felt like it, but I prefer it puffy at the moment.

Before, for reference:

I love it now! But it reminds me of lettuce... I might RIT dye it a little darker so I don't feel so much like produce when I wear it.

Add me on Ravelry!  I'm diranasaurus.

Love it. Such  a simple idea but it really makes the skirt look that bit more special.

I think this recon makes the original skirt something really special.

I also think the color looks great on you!

Props to you! Good job!

Really cute. You have a good eye for draping. Also, I like the color.  I cannot imagine looking at this and thinking lettuce.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

I kind of see where you're coming from with lettuce, but I think a fresh head of lettuce has such a beautiful colour that I can't imagine changing it Tongue

The skirt is so much nicer puffed up, and it looks like it is probably more flattering as well. Great recon!!!

Great draping; I'm very envious!  I love how much fancier it makes the skirt look.

As far as the color goes, I think it looks fine just the way it is (it makes me miss spring), but I'm sure it will look great in any color.

Great job!
