I recently cleared out some of my old, gently-used stuffed animals, and they'd been sitting around waiting to be donated. So when I wanted to make something for my partner's son in the Eco/Hippie swap, I had the perfect materials! At the end of a night of listening to Radiolab podcasts and cackling intermittently, I had Frankensteined these critters together (can I use that as a verb?).

Pre-dismembering:

Here's the Rabbmation, I only changed his ears:

The Bearit, who is so funny-looking... I even had to take some stuffing out so her chub wouldn't overpower her bear parts.  Wink

And my favorite, the Bunnteddydog!

All of their new bits are securely sewn on, so they should stand up to some play in their new home. Smiley

I love the rabbmation, but I'm not so sure about the bearit's legs! There's no way I'd have the emotional strength to chop up my old stuffed animals, but you've done a fantastic (if a little Frankenstein-like) job.

Rabbmation is addorable, but bunny ears work on everyone I think.

Look how happy the Rabbit is with his makeover! It sure makes them unique.

It is better to have crafted and failed then never to have crafted at all.
Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.
