We could do a trash to treasure challenge or do something with a gallon Milk jug  or cardboard milk cartons.  Tons could be done with those, AND I  might find an idea for something new  to do with my preschool class Wink

I don't know, it's been years since I've even see a milk carton in the store.  And I live in Wisconsin, America's Dairyland.

Well mainly we have gallon milk jugs that are plastic, but you can still find some cardboard milk cartons at schools and grocery stores in smaller sizes, I was thinking of the gallon plastic milk jugs, i forget you might not have the same overseas.

This is a fun idea - to see what everyone comes up with when we all start with the same basic thing.

Milk only comes in the plastic jugs where I live except for a couple of brands of chocolate milk like Hersheys and Nesquik (is that what it's called? That doesn't sound right - the kind w/ the rabbit in the commercials...anyway)

I would think using an orange juice carton would be okay if you could only find milk that comes in the plastic kind....I would rather use the carton rather than the plastic jug.

I'd like to try except I'd have to use a an apple juice carton since we only have plastic/glass containers for milk over here.  Sad

No milk cartons!  That's horrible.  How do nursery school kids plant seeds, Girl Scouts make those groovy candles!  We still have them here in Long Island.  Actually many stores have the plastic ones too, but if I have a choice I'll take the carton.  They keep the milk fresher longer since no light can get in.

I'd love to see this get off and running. Since I've written a craft book with 101 ideas for recycling milk cartons, I'd have a lot of input. And I love to hear what others would come up with. Here in Canada milk is still readily available in cartons. D
