I have a love of chickens. I own 5 of them and they are treated like part of the family! (except they can't come in the house lol). So last night I was playing WoW and got tired of leveling (I'm a nerd, I know), so I felt like doing some sewing. I modified a pattern I found online and tried my hand at it. Came out nice I think.

I like the tail especially. The original pattern was for a rooster, and the tail was just so floppy and looked weird. With this tail, I can make a peacock too! Just need to tweak it a bit. Anyway. Thanks for looking!

Awesome! Great work! Would you mind sharing where you found the pattern? (My grandma collects all things chicken - stuffies, figurines, quilts, wall hangings, dishes, calendars, anything & everything chicken related! She'd love me to make her one like yours!)

OMG that is so cute.
We have 3 chickens and I love the way you made yours.

I to must ask where you found that pattern and what changes you made to make it more stable.

I love  chickens!  I love your chicken!  If they pass an ordinance here in my city, my husband and I plan on building a coop and getting some chickens.  I think she is referring to this pattern:

Yes, that's the pattern. Sorry I haven't replied in so long! I didn't use the head peice on that rooster, and modified the tail (as you can see from the picture). I just kinda drew what I wanted it to look like on paper for my pattern piece, and went from there. I would love to see if you make one too!
