These are my first attempts at making toy thingies, the mushroom was the result of trying to crochet a sphere (w/o a pattern lol), the spiral man i made from this:
http://home.wideopenwest.com/~sag55/spman.html
but I made a different head, and the stuffed one i did today after seeing Nina's amazing tutorial. Cheesy It ended up being a commuter monster cause i had scraps of pinstripe fabric and thought it would look cute with a tie on it, i might make a man-bag for him too Grin

Those are very cute!  Does the mushroom have pom-pom feet and hands?  The spiral guy looks like the Michelin Man gone gay.  Smiley   Commuter monster's tie is great!  Is he holding a cell phone in his left hand?

Heehee, thanks Fidget, the mushroom's feet and hands are crochet cause I couldnt make pom-poms small enough, and that is a cell phone in commuter monster's hand. Personally, I think the spiral man looks like the creature from the black lagoon gone gay. Smiley

Ha!  I'm loving all of them, but Commuter Monster's my favorite!!!!  Doesn't he need Starbuck's in the other hand, though?  how else will he drive with just his elbows?   Wink  Or has that only been happening in my world lately?

LOL  Great ideas, spaz_muse, and great execution, QOTSA!

Doesn't he also need one of those wireless headsets that makes him look like a total idiot walking around talking to himself in his own little world?  Sorry to be such a Luddite, but it still unnerves me when I see people walking around having heated conversations with ... no one!  Roll Eyes

hehe great idea for the headset, I agree the discreet ones are scarier but the dj style ones are far more comical I think, and anyway I couldnt think of a good way to attatch that type given his fat-headedness and lack of ears Smiley

Fidget, up with Luddism I say!!! Not too long ago I changed my mind last minute about doing a degree in I.C.T. (which everyone said I should do) cause the prospect of more geeky boys having lengthy conversations with me about buying cables on Ebay made me feel more than slightly suicidal. I ended up going to art college instead and I'm having a great time which must be apparent by me having so much time to make accessories for my monster. Grin Do you think he needs anything else or would that be overkill???

Good for you, QOTSA!  Follow your heart!  Oh, yeah.  Nothing like chatting about ethernet cables and wireless routers to spark a hot romance!  Roll Eyes

You did a great job on the headset!  I think Commuter Monster is just about complete, unless you can find some way to sling a laptop case over his shoulder or a WSJ under his arm.   Grin

How big is this stuffie?  If he's small enough, he looks like he'd be a great car stuffie to hang from a rear view mirror.

LOL  He's cracking me up!!

Good job!!

Now a headset!!!!  You are just cracking me up!!!!  All your accessories are so cute for an already VERY cute monster!  Any plans to make a car or subway for him to commute in?  He sort of looks like he drives a Mazda Miata but when he takes the subway he talks quite loudly so everyone can know how important he is!   Grin  Maybe I should officially acknowledge that I'm having WAY too much fun "playing" with your monster!
