Sorry if this should be in miscellaneous, but it's made of glass and only glass, so I hope this is the best category Tongue

For as long as I can remember, I've loved Native culture and ancestral skills. In university, I learned a lot about flint knapping while studying anthropology. With nothing much better to do except clean the bathtub (ugh, I've been cleaning ALL day!), I grabbed a thick piece of plate glass, an aluminum nail and piece of suede.

Allow me to proudly present my FIRST EVER knap work!

This little arrowhead measures 1.5 inches long and took THREE hours of intense frustration Tongue I have a blister on my palm from pressure flaking with the nail, mangled my thumbnail, and cut myself twice RIGHT beside the scar from a knapping mishap in intro to anthropology over 7 years ago.

I gotta find me some thinner glass!!!!

I have always wanted to try napping. I'm an anthro major but work at a glass factory at the moment, and sometimes, when a bottle breaks, I can't help but look for the bulb of percussion.

Not a bad job though! I've found much uglier projectile points. Yours reminds me of a quartz one we found last summer.

I like it! Would be beautiful with some wire wrapping.

And welcome to the glass boards! Smiley

LOL, PaleAngel, that's so funny! You should totally give it a try Cheesy

Thanks, HSG Cheesy I think you're right about the wire. I tried a suede wrap and it's just not working Tongue
