This was my first ever knitted project...a hat and booties for my new baby born in October. I knit both the hat and booties flat and sewed them up. I am learning that knitting in the round is more desirable for items like this, but not quite sure if I'm ready for that. Those double pointed needles look scary! Hope you enjoy my yarnie goodness and baby cuteness Smiley

Adorable all around!  (And knitting with dpns isn't bad at all!)

Great work!

Very cute!! And an excellent first-knit project! DPNs aren't scary at all! There are also other ways to knit smaller diameter objects too, like Magic Loop, Traveling Loop and 2 circulars (my favorite method).

Welcome to the dark side...knitting is a very, VERY addictive craft Wink

Thanks everyone! I might just have to try out some DPN knitting soon! Can anyone recommend a good tutorial?

Awwwww...cute baby!  Can you share what pattern you used for each?  The hat is adorable.  Would love to do one for my grandbaby.

That is too cute!!

You might consider trying out knitting hats on one of those round looms, like the Knifty Knitter. You can make a baby hat in about 45 minutes on one of those things and it's very addictive.
