In DMC 304 and DMC 310 on 14 count white aida.  It's a blend of classic sampler style with a modern message.  The inner border says "This work in hand my friends may have when I am dead and in my grave."  I study antique samplers and that message is stitched onto samplers more often than anything else.  The outer border is from this awesome antique French sampler pattern site right here http://albumsdantan.canalblog.com/

Use your barcode scanner to find the message!  People without scanners must never know the secret!

This is so amazing, and so nerdy. I love it!

Great Job. Really good combo of all the themes together. Especially the "contemporary" message Grin

Wow, this is so cool. I love the classic/modern blend. The QR code is so neat-- I can't believe you made it clean enough to actually scan!  Shocked That's amazing. I wish my phone wasn't dead so that I could see what it says... but I also quite like it having a secret, too. ^_^ Perhaps knowing the answer would take away some of the fun!

Usually I am not a big fan of cross stitch or samplers, but this is awesome! I love the blend of modern and traditional. If only I was cool enough to have a phone with a QR scanner... Grin

But, I like my phone that only dials numbers...

This is really awesome. I love the idea and am surprised I haven't seen it done before.

I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.
