here are some small journals i made out of paint chips. the back sides of the paint chips are covered with cardstock and the whole thing is held together with jump rings.

That is a really cute idea!!!!  And very well executed, I might add!  Where did you find larger paint chips like that?  All I ever find are the short little strips all in a bunch.

i got these at home depot, but they probably have them at other places that sell Behr brand paint. Ralph Lauren also has squares like that but their edges aren't rounded and they are a tiny bit smaller... + they don't have the picture of the bear on them. thanks for your reply!

i just used a regular hole puncher... you can only punch a few pieces of paper at once though

no  i just put cardstock (that closely matched the color on the paint chip)  on the backs of each paint chip (because the back is just white with writing on it...) so when the journal is all done, you see the cardstock on the inside covers
