Hey. I have attempted to make several shirred or smocked sundresses. They come out nicely except that the elastic thread shows through a little bit on the right side. I can only find white or black elastic thread so I can't even choose a color that will blend in. Is there something I can do to prevent this? Thanks for the advice.

walmart has an "invisible" thread thats supposed to work for any lightweight fabric.  I've never tried it but it looks promising....

You could probably dye white elastic thread to a matching color.

and i did try adjusting my tension, i was messing with it for awhile but it didn't stop the elastic from showing on the right side Sad
