My kitty is all in favor of my new crafting! She thinks spinning is even better than crocheting (eating yarn) or sewing (hiding in fabric), she's particularly fond of the little fluffies that I toss aside every now and then  Smiley
and if I leave my drop spindle unattended she thinks that its meant for her gnawing pleasure! But she did catch enough little fluffy bits to keep herself entertained and allow me to actually finish my very first yarn!

It is a typical beginner yarn, overspun and thick and thin, but I love it! I have absolutely no idea what the fiber is, but am fairly certain its not exotic or anything. My spindle was given to me after someone abandoned it at my friend's house...along with said mystery fiber.
I have another bunch of roving (yep mystery too) its dark with color streaks, I can't wait to see what it spins up to!

I love that color!
Just a note on the Kitty though, You shouldn't give her lots of fluff, because she'll eat it, and then get hair balls, and that's already a problem for cats.  Or worse, she can get lots in there and get really sick.  As much as she loves the fluff, I bet you love her more Smiley

Good point! I'll have to keep an eye on her luckily she doesn't usually eat it just play with it

Thanks everyone! I'm really excited to see what other fibers I can spin up...I'm eyeing the alpacas down the street now!

Smiley  I'm just a bit sensitive to cats and craft supplies... I had to put one cat down because he ate thread.  so yeah Smiley I'm sure you wouldn't have let her eat it, but like I said, I'm just sensitive to cats and craft supplies Smiley
