I'm SO excited to post this... this has literally taken me like 4 years, ever since I started uni. I obviously didn't have that much free time at uni, so I'd often put this aside for weeks or even months on end, and then suddenly have a blitz where I couldn't put it down. But I've finally finished it!! I think it looks great. I'm not sure I'd do another project so large in the future because I am so SLOW at cross stitching (I'm sure most of you guys could do this in a few weeks), but I really enjoyed it Smiley It's all cross stitch, and outlined in backstitch, and I also had to learn how to do the dreaded French knots for some of their eyes.

Whole thing:

Some close ups of my favourite bits:

Snails!

Rabbits

Pigs

Sheep

And here's one with my hand for size reference:

And just as a bonus, here are the other cross-stitches I've done.

Done in 2002, so I was 12/13:

Done in 2004 (I was 14/15):

Another from 2004, with my hand for size reference (I obviously forgot to only use one thread for the backstitch on this one, so it's a bit chunky looking):

I forgot to date this one but I would guess it's from about 2005:

I really hope you like these, especially the big one! I now need to buy a new one to start Smiley

Comments VERY welcome!!!
Becca

WOW Becca - that was a lot of work!!!  (It would probably take me 5 years.)  Wink Love the close up pics to see all the detail - beautifully done - you should be so proud.  Smiley

All of them are so beautiful!
You did some amazing work.

If you don't want to do a large project next time, you could consider using hoops and making a hoopla wall.

They are all beautiful.  The dog on the snowball is my favourite, but I also love how cute and cuddly those alligators looks in the Noah's Ark piece.

Wow, that is a hardcore project. I have no patience at all for cross stitch so I'm double-impressed Smiley

I think you have skills Cheesy love ll the bears, but that Noah's Ark is amazing -wisting it- Can understand how it took four years, I'm sure that at my rate it would take eight because I would in the end forget where I put it Tongue
