I bought a bunch of cute baby fleece, but have no idea what to do with it!  I have 2 different prints, both pieces are just under a yard.  I don't want to make blankets (I already have plenty).  Any ideas?  I'm a beginner sewer so it has to be something manageable!  Thanks!

What about one of those baby sleeping bags (the kind that has shoulder straps)? Hats. Grocery cart seat liners. Stuffed toys.

I just made some diaper covers for my son with fleece to cover his cloth diapers instead of those icky plastic pants.  Fleece naturally repels liquids, so it keeps them from leaking.  I used velcro for the fasteners on it.  There are patterns at fabric stores for them as a decorative thing to put over a disposable and they say to use knit fabrics only, but I used the pattern for the size bigger than I needed and fleece and they came out nicely and fit well and didn't leak.  I am new to sewing also, but the pattern I used had a paper that told me step by step how to do it and it was easy.  A little time consuming at first, I guess, because it was the first one I did, but fun.  And he got to sport it around town later that day.

Great ideas!
And you can make slippers.  There are a lot of cute, very simple patterns for slippers.

Softies are really fun to make, and kids really like them, especially when they know that you made them just for them.

This is one of my fave craft blogs.   Here is a simple bag project with fleece.
