I made these sets of magnets for xmas presents last year.  I painted unfinished wooden discs and then glued the feet together before attaching them to the body.  I also gave them a couple coats of clear glaze so they looked more finished, and attached a magnet to the back.  I folded some origami boxes, and I since didn't have any krinkle paper on hand for filler, I just made my own out of a paper bag.  The idea was that they would look like they were in a little nest.  (In all fairness, I adapted the idea from some vintage magnets that grace my boyfriend's mom's fridge!)

P.S.  These were the sets that didn't make the cut, so please excuse the wonky painting! Cheesy
