Hi everyone.  Its been a long time since I've posted a project but I wanted to share my most recent one.

My 10 year old daughter was so over the girly pink of her room that's she's had since she was 2.  She'd been bugging me to paint it for a while, like over a year...  I decided since she had to wait so long, we'd do a complete makeover.  I wish I had progress pictures to share but I'm usually too engrossed in the process to think of taking pictures.

The color she picked was dark, and its a small room, so I knew I needed to add lots of light.  Since she has no ceiling fixture in her room, I made this hanging chandelier out of foam board and an existing light.  :

I wanted her room to be a little grown up but still playful and young.
Starburst mirror made with skewers:

She is a budding artist and needed a stylish space to hang her artwork and pictures.
Fabric covered cork boards:

Some other views of the room

Would love to hear what you think Smiley

Love the colors. The starburst mirror is my favorite. Very Chic.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.
