After the nice comments on my green diningroom http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=375574.0
i decided to share another room i am working on.
I have to finish the molding to the ceiling and buy a new floor and then it is finished.
(oh and when i have the time someday i want to reupholster the blue chair)

My daughter loved her room before, but now she is 12 and needed a more grown up room.
She helped painting and decorating the room, she even bought a lot of the accessories and the lovely lamp from her birthdaymoney.

I made the desk myself by using an old cabinet, the legs are candleholders (because the normal legs were very expensive and these were even nicer)

the top of the desk is with wallpaper and glass on top of it.

on her table i made the pattern of the wallpaper in the corners.

And she had red blinds that were good, but in the wrong color...i decided to put some nice brown fabric with little blue and lightbrown stripes all over on the old blinds, and i reused them.

This is the before:

I LOVE it, I'd move in.  I agree with leaving the chair, I think it's nice and blends well with the rest of the room

On the pics you cant see that the chair is damaged by the dog, but the cushion is eaten by the dog.
Well its the bottom side so its not really a problem.
But i know it.

Ever considered to be a professional interior decorator?
You've got the eye and the skills for it.
But perhaps that would take the fun part out of it...
I admired your kitchen in your other post and this room rocks as well!

I would really love to be a professional interior decorator, lots of my fiends ask me what to do with their homes.
I helped a couple of them with a complete transformation.
That they ask my advice makes me really proud of myself.
But i think i am to uncertain to do it for people i don't know.
However i wont hesitate to share my vision.
Thanks for the compliment!

Wow, that is really lovely. I love how elegant and yet fun it is, and the color scheme is really pretty.  The "before" room is also really cute.  Great job, and thanks for sharing.

Oh my gosh! This is SO gorgeous. It looks so sophisticated and it's definitely something that will still look great when she's 18. I'm actually jealous of her room, I wish my room had looked that classy when I was 12, then I wouldn't have had to re-do it 3 times as I grew up.

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.

The thing is.....my daughter is the same like me.
So i think that she will redo it 3 times anyway, lol.
But not because she hates the room, but because she wants something different.

I can't believe how creative you are - I loved your daughter's room both ways!
You could try consulting - people give you colors or a vibe they're going for, and you could make some suggestions.  I know I'd happily pay for someone else to bring my ideas together into something beautiful.  Cheesy

I was seriously about to say the same thing XD

I'm incredibly jealous D: I would have killed for a fancy, sophisticated room like this! Hell, I still would! It shocked me reading this and seeing that your daughter is 12. I thought she was around my age lol. Pretty please come to Oregon and decorate my new bedroom? Cheesy <3

You've done an amazing job on this. Kudos!

This room is gorgeous but I am loving her floor!  What is that? How was it done?
