I have almost finished my new diningroom (some little things left to do)
And i wanted to show it to you all!!!

I wanted a side table, but they were expensive.
So i started looking for an old table to cut in half and use for my project.
Unfortunately they all had the wrong size for me, so i decided to make one myself.
I bought 2 table legs and some wood and moldings and started.
The table legs were to short for the height i wanted, so i used PVC for the lowest part and painted the whole thing.

here is a before and after.
I hated the fireplace, but i did not have the money to build/buy myself a new one.
So when i saw the bricks were on sale i pimped it myself.
Some molding on top and finished

Friends gave me an old chair that i reupholstered.

I made a little table from an old clock a stool and a stocking

An old painting became a rosette, because there was a hole in the ceiling when i moved the lamp.

(i even pimped my old lamp)
painted all my furniture too.

Oh and i found a new picture from the shelf, i put the same wallpaper around it so the stripes continue. The frames were my old doorsteps, with some leftover fabric from my curtains inside.

Tell me what you think

That looks amazing! Well done, you were ingenious with that stool-table thing! Very clever! I wish I had a place of my own to decorate now!

Tell you what I think? Well, I think you are freakin' awesome! This is the greatest room ever! Very swanky and I want to be there right now. You got the coffee on? I'll bring bagels!

Wowzers!  Your sideboard table is amazing!  I love, love, love that you painted the ceiling the POW! color, too.  Not only does it make the white beams stand out it's fun and clever!  I'm a big advocate for non-white ceilings, even dark colored ceilings and a dining room is the perfect place for them, because the focus of the room is the people and the meal they're sharing which is down around the table.  YEY MIEP!

I really LOVE this room. You did a FANFREAKINGTASTIC job. My husband and I just bought a house in April of last year, and still have yet to finish any decor. I painted, just because I HATE Beige/tan walls. It was a fast paint job and I have hated the color since then. I'm by nature a very gothic girl (apple didn't fall far tree, dad was gothic before gothic was a "personality type" LOL) and I went for a soft spa sea green color. You design has now got me wanting to redo  my house. Thanks for inspirations. Naturally, mine won't look like yours but it is pushing me to get a move on.

Great job, and love EVERYTHING about it.

I had a hard time convincing my boyfriend/ husband (i hate that word) that i should paint the ceiling green.
After e few NO`s i tried what if i promiss i paint it white when you hate it? (puppyface)
And then he finally let me do it....and he loved it!!!
