Rainbow Crochet Lace Umbrella/Parasol

I really LOVE doilies... But not over a table or anywhere else in my house! So I decided to use my rainbow doily for something else... 







The inspiration for this parasol is came from a photo seen on web (http://www.etsy.com/listing/45002091/hand-crochet-doily-8-12-in-ecru).
I used 100% cotton yarn, high quality from Italy.
Same blended technique as my spiderweb blankets (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=374468.0).
The base I recovered from an old (ugly) umbrella I've bought many years ago.

It's about 80 cm. It was a children's umbrella.
