So I decided to take up weaving, we're learning about it at school and thought it'd be pretty awesome to do. I'd like to weave a blanket for my boyfriend, and I bought a frame loom on ebay the other day. I bought it before thinking about it too much. I want to make a blanket!
You can't make the piece longer without cutting it off the loom and sewing the pieces together, or is there a way? I've been thinking, and dreaming, about it for days, but can't come up with a solution. I'd like to make long pieces at one go, and not just be reduced to the length of the frame.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Stitching together sections for blankets is as old as weaving!

So think about designing with stripes that will disguise the seam or accent the seam.

Or maybe piecing blocks together like a patchwork.

Have a good day!
