A lamp with a knitted cozy. Now it matching my interior style.

I love this! It's a great idea and pretty eco-friendly. Beats buying a new lamp. Now I know what to do with the hideous lamp in my bedroom...

That is a really original idea. I'd be afraid that the heat from the lamp would damage the knitting around the shade. But I love the warmth that the knitted texture brings to the lamp, it's so much better than without it.

The lamp isn't that hot. The glass is very thick and I use a cfl. But I want to change all cfl for led and than there is no warmth at all.

It's 100% acryl and needle nr 5 (with 2 threads at the same time). The middle part is made with this thing:

And no mercury! Good call.

Super crazy lamp, I love it. Great way to fix things you don't like the look of too I'd think. Not the right colour? Knit/crochet a cover that is! Ha ha.
There are some street posts nearby with yarny coverings that I always get a kick out of seeing. I like this whole idea.
