Details of swap:
This is the dotee swap we've been chatting about for a few weeks. Each swapper will trade with three other swappers, dotees based on their partner's wishes. Each swapper will be asked to list 5 - 8 characters - from books, movies, video games or television - and that swapper's partners will craft a dotee based on those lists.
Your list might read:"The Big Bang Theory" - and that leaves room for the maker to choose one of the characters from that TV show.
Jane Austen - again, maker's choice as to which character or book
Classic toys from the 1960's - this is pretty broad so the maker should communicate with the recipient
Or something more specific like:Minions from the movie "Despicable Me"
Zombies from "The Walking Dead"
Munchkins from "The Wizard of Oz"
What is a dotee? A dotee is a mini art doll, 3" - 6" with a loop for hanging. Most dotees have faces and some have tails - a hanging piece at the bottom made with beads, charms and other embellishments. Most dotees are made from fabric but if you peruse the past galleries, or do an internet search, you'll see that some dolls are made from wood, plastic, paper, recycled materials, fimo clay and paper clay.
