Hah, perfect timing with Moomba and all... did you do this near the Birdman rally?  Grin

No we did it between Flinders St bridge and Queens St bridge. I didn't want to do it near the celebrations as most of the Moomba events require a permit to do things in the river and seeing as I didn't have one, I didn't want someone coming along half way through and telling me that I'm in trouble.

They're so cute in their little jackets! I wish I'd have seen them bobbing about on the river! I love this!

Thanks! They're all so cute hey, but by the end of making their jackets I was a bit over it.

Yarn bombing has been around for a few years but it's becoming more and more popular, especially since the publication of the first book on it.

It was lovely to see random people stop and watch us float the ducks down the river.

the duckies do look cute in their jackets but wouldn't this be, well... littering? or do you retrieve the ducks after the bombing/floating?

I'm off to the Yarra to search for them!

What a great project. I sometimes yarnbomb, but usually do guerilla gardening and placing small sculptures around to be found.

I think I'll have to agree with enchantedwhimsies, the duckies are very cute indeed but there's already so much plastic trash in the rivers, I really don't think one should add to that.

Where abouts do you yarn bomb? Guerilla gardening is cool too.

Aw, the duckies look really cute with their jackets.  Makes me wish that I had some duckies of my own.

Quack quack!  Cheesy
