Matching set - wool mittens and hat from chopped sweater

Wool hat made from a felted, chopped up sweater. The band was made from the original ribbed neck of the sweater with strands of needle felted wool for decoration.





The mittens are made from the sleeves, with a little extra needle felted wool around the seams.

They are!  The felting makes a very dense wool, but it's still surprisingly stretchy.
