So pleased with myself! This is my first completed clothing item.  I used fabric I already had for the bodice and picked up some red polycotton for the skirt. I need to aplique a chunky flower cut from the same fabric as the bodice onto the lower left of the dress I haven't done that as I've never aplique'd before and don't know how!

Cute!  Applique isn't too difficult, have a practice on some scrap fabric first and I expect they'll be loads of videos on YouTube.

Too cute! And thanks for sharing the link to the tute. I totally in a mad rush to make a slew of summer dresses for my niece as they're weather is already getting up to the 70s. I've made three dresses out of the same pattern already and, while easy, it's getting a little boring. Which is why I'm on Craftster now, looking for other ideas. So thanks for the darling inspiration to get me to use that tute.
