Finished my welded/wood dog crate... it will be in our living room for a long time so I thought it would be fun to have something that looks like it's furniture.

Welding the frame:

I used pine for the wood - stained a darker color later. Floor is remnant bamboo I had.

Working on the front door:

This grate came from a conference my husband attended years ago. It's been sitting in our backyard rusting and I thought it would make a neat feature on the top. It cleaned up pretty good!

Finished! Side deck allows for more space:

Now... how do I get the kids out?

Here is little Nora:

This is the best thing I have seen all month! You are very talented! I have seen people selling ones that are really plain and boring for a small fortune, but your's is absolutely gorgeous! I want to make 2 for my furry babies, but I have a Great Pyr and I feel like if I made her a crate it would look more like a dining room table. lol!

That is awesome!
I am in love with one that my local grocery store sells - it has two floors to it with a set of steps.  I keep saying my Buster would love that but hubby thinks I'm nuts to want to buy it.

That crate is just gorgeous - super job - and now the kids know where they can go it they have time out  Cool
