It does look like a piece a furniture - mission accomplished!  That's just wonderful and your lil' pupster is going to love growing into it.  Lucky dog.

Not only does this ROCK, but this is genious! What a fantastic piece! I laughed when I saw a child tucked in there. It's gonna be hard getting them out, haha! I absolutely love your attention to the fact that a dog kennel is a home-of-sorts and should not have to be an eyesore in your home. The best part is that when your poochie is all grown out of it, it won't go to waste. I heart this!

Holy Fabulous Dog crate! that name doesn't even do it justice! I am in awe of your talents first in welding and then wood working! well done!

oh and BTW don't get mad, but we have a lab and he weighs well over 100! I hope that the collie mixed in will make it so your pup doesn't get that big! I'd love to see pics of her in it as she grows! and my kids do the same thing, sit in the crate. It must be a kid thing!

love laugh create!

Thanks to one and all. This was a fun project!

I sure hope she doesn't grow to be 100 pounds! She is growing faster than we anticipated though and her paws keep getting bigger too... I live in a small town so I know a few families who have her litter mates... the boys are huge and the girls are smaller. I am hoping for 55-60 pounds but we'll see!

She has been using this crate for a while now and loves it. We open the side deck for her and she just hangs out chewing on a rawhide or napping after a long game of frisbee.

For those interested in metalworking, I'll be posting pictures of the metal childs rocking chair I am working on soon. It's 95% done - just needs a couple finishing touches and I'll get the photos up!
