I love this!!! Unfortunately for me my 6 month old doberman is already 51# so I would need a huge one...and then she would just eat it. Like she did my daughter's bed.

You did an amazing job! And I love the grate on top...gives it that added character.

My golden loves his crate/den but I wish it would blend in with the rest of our decor. This is such a fantastic solution! Beautifully done!

ps How big is your dog?

Thanks all! Our dog is still a puppy - she is about 12-14 weeks but the humane society wasn't totally sure of her age and how big she would get. She's a border collie/lab mix so she may be about 50-60 pounds full grown. I made this crate the dimensions of an airline crate for 65 pound dogs that my friend has. Hopefully she doesn't outgrow it!

best. dog. crate. ever!!  I love it.   what a lucky pup! (she is totally adorable, btw!)

i wish I could make one for my dog, he loves his kennel- it's like his little room, I leave the door open and he comes and goes as he pleases- he actually puts himself to bed at 9pm every night! it's like clock-work (my husband & I think it's cause that's when they put the lights out at the shelter where the poor guy was for a year)

This is beautiful! I don't have a dog but I'd LOVE a table or chest or something like this.
