When I saw the "Around Town" sampler on the Connecting Thread website, I knew I just had to make something with it, even if the colors and such are not my usual fare. I bought a "Stack," aka a package of 10" squares and started playing. I used cotton batting and cotton thread, so the quilt got rather wrinkly after washing, which looks a little funny with the really bright fabrics, but that is how it goes.

The front:

And the back (which I may like better than the front  Wink ):

This quilt doesn't go with any of my furnishings, but I couldn't resist working on something different.  Now what do I do with it?

I know that around here there are various charitable organizations that make/take "snugglies" for kids in hospitals.  The bright colors would really brighten someone's day - if you'll pardon the redundancy

It is beautiful quilt. I agree with sewmess. If you're in the US, charities like Project Linus and Binky Patrol have volunteers make quilts that are given to kids in hospitals. There might even be a local chapter in your area you can donate to.

Your quilt is beautiful - I really like the colors and I don't think it looks funny at all.

Raffle it off through a church or community centre and give the proceeds to a charity (if you can afford it, if not keep the money for future projects).

It's awesome BTW, I love the colours very much.

Thank you for the kind comments.  I have draped the quilt over one of the chairs in my den.   It makes me happy seeing it there, even if it doesn't go with anything else in the room!
