Here is the jewelry my grandma & I made for my August 2010 wedding.  We spent a whole day designing, shopping, and constructing!

First, my necklace, Swarovski crystals and pearls:

The small pearls are off my mom's wedding dress.

It makes me smile... I use pearls from my mom's dress & made it with her mom - it's like a three generational necklace!

We also made necklaces and earrings for each of my 4 bridesmaids, and slightly different ones for my two maids of honor (My CoMOHs!)
Bridesmaid necklace:

CoMOH necklace:

Earrings:

Finally, we also made a necklace for my husband's "groomswoman." The beads match the beads on her "wrist bout" (which you can see here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=375359.msg4425457#msg4425457

I always feel slightly awkward about posting wedding crafts... It's not that I'm showing off my wedding, truly!  I just want to share my crafts!  Embarrassed

So lovely - especcially the 3 generation necklace. It would be sweet to pass it on to the next generation too!

What a great way to integrate your mother's dress! This is a great idea! I think the most amazing thing is that these don't look handcrafted, but like something you'd buy as bridal jewelry. Amazingly well done, and that shade of blue on the crystals is intense and gorgeous. Smiley

I sometimes love the look of big jewelry, but as my grandma told me "there can only be one star!"  My dress with all its beading was definitely destined to be the star of my wardrobe.
