I love stars. Looking around my living room right now, I can count about fifteen of them hanging on my walls in one form or another. Oddly enough, I have never attempted to crochet one, until now.  (Weird, I know.)

I got the pattern from someone on Ravelry.  (Oh how I LOVE that website!)

And here's the yarn I used- Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn Sparkle.  It is soooo soft, and affordable!

Hi Joanie, They look good! You could probably do a connecting chain in between each point all around and string them up like a garland. There is no Hobby Lobby near me! Boo-Hoo!!!

Thank you Maria.  The garland idea is a good one.  I haven't decided what to do with them yet.  I thought I was going to make them into a shawl, but I had trouble connecting them.  The points of the star just did not look right when I attempted to add them to the mesh.  If anyone has any tips on how to join these stars together, I'd love to hear them. Your stars are very cute!

I've been seeing that yarn posted many times and I really want to get my hands on some! I don't live near a hobby lobby and their online store doesn't have that yarn. The closest they have is this http://shop.hobbylobby.com/store/item.aspx?ItemId=150684 Could this be it?

Yep...That's the stuff, and that's the color I used...Peacock.  Give it a try.  The yarn blows Red Heart Supersaver out of the water in the softness department.
