This cake was a labour of love. The bride asked me to try and reproduce a similar cake she found online; ooooo...kay???
No problems about the cake - dark chocolate mud cake covered with dark chocolate ganache and a layer of fondant.
Now what about the topper? After many a fruitless search, I came to the conclusion that I would have to make the bloomin' thing! (sigh) So out came the cold porcelain and two days later I had the topper.
It all came together really well and the bride and groom were over the moon about their gothic cake.

This is fantastic! I've always had trouble stacking topsy-turvy cakes, but my fighting spirit is renewed! That topper is for me the most stunning part. Thanks for sharing this awesome project with us!
