Need help on making a Chinchilla Pattern

I wanted to make a Chinchilla Pattern to make a doll for a friend, but I haven't been able to find any patterns for one.  Does anyone have an Idea on how to make one?

You could modify a pattern into looking like a chinchilla. How about something like this? but with shorter ears, add a tail, and maybe even some whiskers.

I have one. I rescued it from the Internet Archive. It longer exists on the blog it was published.  I made 3 of them. They came out so cool.
