I did this as a private swap for wax_51. She reived it today and absolutly loved it and said I HAD to post it so everyone could drool over it. lol

Her office is decorated in day of the dead so I thought what better than a DOD flower girl.

Those roses made my eyes bleed. Each petal is individually satin stitched.
Close up of roses.

The pattern i used came from urban threads and called for no color except for the flowers, well I decided that looked a little to simple so I did as many colors as I could on her face.

I really like how her lips turned out.

After I had it all stitched out I thought it needed something, so I attacked it with crayons.

I LOVE how it turned out and if I was into Day of the dead she would never have gotten it lol

And just becasue, one more picture of the roses

                                                    Thanks for looking C&C welcome.

Oh, that's so cool!  I love the satin stitch on the roses, and the attention to detail, and all the colors.  It really looks gorgeous.

I think I like it better without the crayon, because the roses really, really pop next to the white fabric and black outlines, but it's awesome either way. Smiley

Yeah the roses really explode without the crayon tinting but at the same time, to me, they looked out of place. Kind of like a half colored page in a coloring book.
