What is a good type of string/wire should i use?  Well for any type of necklace. I have been using the stretchy string.

You could use coated stringing wire such a Beadalon, which comes in different levels of flexibility. If you want it really flexible, I recommend a couple of doubled strands of 6# test or higher Fireline.

I would highly recommend Softflex wire for this kind of work. It's strong, durable, and you can even tie knots in it! It also comes in a variety of metal tones. It's great stuff and so versatile.
