Fence bracelet?

So I'm a super-nerdy Auto Tune The News fan, and I want to make a turtle fence bracelet . . . but I am having issues about how to make the fence part. Ideally, I'd like to have something like this:



But I can't seem to find the pointy picket-fence-shaped beads, so I would also settle for something similar to this:



(I know it's not made out of beads. Shush. You get the idea.)

I am at a loss on how to recreate this though. I can't do peyote to save my life, and I can't find the picket fence beads . . . anybody have any brilliant ideas on creating a fence-like pattern?

(And this is a very silly bracelet, I'm making it with plastic turtle beads. So elegance is not necessary, it just needs to resemble a fence. )

You could try making the fence picket beads yourself with either polymer clay or shrinky dinks.... (shrug).

Yep, what she said. I'd suggest either one of those to make the fence posts.

I you want a want a wooden fence look I would look at Michaels (or other craft store). They often have small prefabbed wooden items to paint that are made of pickets. You could cut them down to size and glue two rings to the back sides to run elastic cord through.

if i were you i would get a white plastic folder, the strongest you can find (or other source of semi-flexible thin white plastic)  then cut picket fence shapes with scissors and glue them with e6000 onto a piece of leather or fabric.  alternatively you could punch tiny holes in them and join with jump-rings but i don't know if this would work at the scale you are going for.
