My turn to post before it's too late, I have finished this project just in time.
This is a lamp I was thinking of making for a while. I might have been inspired by many lamps I saw using PVC pipes, but wanted also to use the soda cans that most of the people never think of recycling.
I like to make air planes out of soda can, or other kind of wall decoration :

This is the pieces used to make the lamp:

There's no glue, everything hold together nicely, the difficulty is in the opening in the can to fit the PVC elbow, when it's properly cut, you don't need anything.
This is the lamp:

The light is nicely reflected on the aluminium side of the can.
Thanks to the 45 degres elbow, you can easily oriente the lamp in any directions.

Two cans are used to make the shade and I love these cans.

I hope you like the lamp, if not I will try better next time. Wink

The lamp is very cool -- excellent choice of can for the shade and the whole design is quite clever.

But like tiffi_333, I have to say: the plane is fantastic!

I love the light reflecting from the inside of the aluminum.  Very creative up-cycling!
