I made this bracelet to go with a necklace I started a several months ago. I have to still attach the battery holder to the necklace, but since I was almost done with it, I made this bracelet for the contest.
I made the bracelet using copper wire, copper colored craft wire, Swarovski star beads, blue goldstone star beads, and some blue and purple crystal beads. I also used a purple LED, some synthetic purple fabric, and a battery holder. The star is made up of a craft wire base with the LED attached to copper wire in the middle. All the wire is connected to the star ends. I whip stitched fabric around the star to cover up the wires.

Not lit up, and with topstitching I removed because I thought it was messing with the LED. I might add it again.  Roll Eyes

I had to go with a different battery holder than planned. I originally used a coin battery holder for my necklace and soldered copper wire to it a month or two ago. For some reason, the battery would not power the necklace so I decided to use it for the bracelet since I thought the distance between the battery and LED had something to do with it not working for the necklace.
I made a yo-yo around it to make it look prettier and hide the soldering.

For whatever reason, the battery holder decided at the end that it wasn't going to work for the bracelet either.  Angry So, I had to attach a bulkier AAA battery holder. It gets the job done, but isn't as pleasing to look at (or wear).

I'm still going to try to get the coin battery to work for the bracelet. I'm just not sure if the copper tape I put on one side is interfering with the flow of electricity, or if it was my soldering job.

This is my first challenge entry!  Grin And I think my first jewelry posting. (I have several projects that I haven't uploaded yet). Good luck to everyone else in the challenge!
