I just set up my etsy shop a few weeks ago. I only have about 7 or 8 items on there right now but I'm working on more. So far, I only have about 2 views on each item. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or maybe my crafts just stink LOL I guess I'll get the hang of it eventually.

I just started my Etsy a few weeks back and have about 10 items listed.
So far I have only gathered 1 sales and 18 admirers.
kind of sad since we put in so much effort and is kind of lost in a pile of crafters. Sad

Hi Everybunny. I love your bunnies!
Making your first sale within a few weeks on Etsy is not bad at all.
Remember there are hundreds of thousands of shops on Etsy.
You want to do a lot of promoting to make customers find your shop.
I noticed you make excellent use of your item tags and titles (search engine optimalisation)!
Try to list some more items. The more items in your shop, the bigger your chances of selling. Don't list them all at once though, but spread them out over time, so you have more exposure.
If you can find the time: be active in Etsy teams and forums.
Don't wait for sales to come your way. Make them happen!
Good luck with your shop!

PS: you also want to put a link to your Etsy shop in your Craftster signature. That way craftster members can easily find your shop.

I have had trouble getting my Etsy shop going as well.  I had several jewelry pieces already created for a craft show and they didn't sell, so I thought that I would put them on the internet.  I had them on Etsy for a few months and they didn't move, so I decided to go with Facebook.  That wasn't working either so I tried Pinterest and yarsellr, much to no avail.  Recently, I became overwhelmed and frustrated that my only buyer was my mom, so I started creating my own website. I purchased it from godaddy.com and have been working every chance I get to try and get it up and running. I know a major issue is trying to get a good pic of my jewelry.  Here's hoping the website is a hit!

Jenn, the advantages of Etsy are that you get a ready made shop (for free) and the attention of over 7 million members plus many more millions of lookers, that did not sign up yet.
How are you going to get that kind of traffic to your own website?

While Etsy is celebrating its 7th birthday, I am celebrating my 6th Etsyversary!

Well, BeaG, you beat me only by 3 days of being one of the first Dutch Etsyans!
My shop had been doing nothing for 6 months until last weekend. Before I didn't sell a lot but just enough to keep me happy. Been working hard on it for 3 weeks now, changing things in my shop and being more active on the internet etc. Hope that sale I had is the result of that and not just luck.
Will see you on the Etsy NL team forum soon!
