A contest using virtually any form of media to represent a certain event, person, memory, etc, along with a summary explaining said media, that corresponds to a type of transformation  (i.e a caterpillar into a butterfly, before and after weight loss((or gain!)), before and after children, etc)

The entries should be judged by:
Inspiration
Originality
Representation
Quality
& Over-All Awesomeness!

This would be a great opportunity to create something very meaningful and sentimental while also helping to bring our community closer together.

As an added note, this could also include a "Now and Later" (Not the candy!) type inspired by goals and future anticipations.
(Or possibly as an entirely different contest!)

I have never been in a challenge before, this looks like it has potential to be interesting, I have a transformation in mind I could possibly use- from being a civilian to a soldier. It was quite a process with a definite start point and end point. If this were to become a contest I could see myself joining it.

The only crafts coming to mind for something like this (at least for me) are crafty time lines. By chance do you have any examples of transformation projects?

A good example would be a children's book I used to have when I was younger. It was called "Windows" I can't find any pictures of it but it was set up like this:

The pinwheel type mechanism would have one image layered under another. When you pulled the hoop it would slide the triangles of image (a) under image (b), then back when you pulled it again.

But this idea could be portrayed in a number of different ways as well. As an open-ended idea it allows this to be interpreted in a multitude of ways. I think it would be interesting to see the turn out.

I really like this idea, and actually have an idea of what i would do for it (time allowing if this became a contest!)
