I will admit it right up front; I collect cabbage patch dolls   Grin  Not the plastic one that were really big in the 80's mind you, but the soft sculpture ones that Xavier Roberts started making in the late 70's on up to today! I belong to a few collector's groups, and a good friend of mine in WI who also collects, *really* wanted a gnome outfit for her "preemie" sized cabbie named Oliver! One bonus about the preemies is that they are the same size as those Mass Market kids of the 80's, so I was able to use some of the MM patterns I had kicking around to at least give me a base to start with -- the only thing i ended up using was a pattern for pants, and the rest I ended up kinda winging, LOL! This is what I ended up with:

She was thrilled with it, as was Oliver I am told, LOL!

This is so cool, I love Gnomes. he's so gute. I have one in my garden which is getting bleech out so I need to repaint it soon.  Also I have the Xavier Roberts pattern & made my girls each one, then the boys wanted one too. I made them 1 karate Kid & the other a Army soldier. They loved them. I still have the boys dolls they need repair & haven't got around to it. I also have the smaller ones too & one half made so you inspired now to finished. Thanks, & for showing your cute Gnome.
