Woohoo! I just found a bunch of old projects that I'm never going to finish...so I'm frogging them to reuse the yarn for other crocheted goodies! I think it'll help bulk up my stash for the granny square swap! *happy dance*

Have old jeans, pillowcases, or t-shirts? I'll take them! I'm also always looking for the sleeves to women's long sleeved shirts!

So sorry to hear about your back, KB...and the good news of 'found' yarn!  I had a project started...and knew that I didn't have enough yarn--nor could I buy the colors anymore--to finish it.  So it's been repurposed for a new project and will continue to be used for future ones...like granny making!!!  Har Har...*almost evil laugh*

I'm still playing w/the flowers/and/or buttons question...I may scrap them(for the moment) and move on to the border dilemma... Roll Eyes

Thanks. Smiley I'm feeling about 50% better thankfully. The hubs took me yarn shopping this afternoon and now I'm the proud owner of 7 skeins of Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in a rainbow of colors. Cheesy

oooo, I DO Love that Yarn! =]  I'm knitting an afghan for my DD in it...doubled! =]  Good for you..he hee

Here is the start to the afore mention black/multi afghan that I'd started some time ago...hoping to get more of the multicolored/varigated yarn for-No Dice!  So I left what I had started on the back of the loveseat and will repurpose the rest of the yarn...for grannies, no doubt.  The pattern can be found online by googling Bargello Afghan, I believe.



Last row of Hibiscus/Snowflake going down!!  I have picked a border to add a third color that should set it off nicely!!! *fiendishly crocheting today*

What color is the variegated yarn, Kitty? I have access to several different locations of chain craft stores (Michael's, Hobby Lobby-2, JoAnns-2)...I can look here and see if I can find it for you. Smiley

Oh...thank you so very much for the offer, KB...I've looked at all those places and old Ben Franklin's and even a back-woods former Ben Franklin in Minnesota(two states away on vacation)...the yarn is unavailable unless I find it second-hand.  I've looked online and ordered one that was close, but not a match.  I think that I will try it again w/another varigated color scheme.  I have several of the Red Heart Ocean skeins (it's still available at Wally-world) and w/blue and black I think it could be a very pretty afghan.  But it is down on the list after I get others done first!  =]  I really appreciate you offer, tho!! =]

I'm sorry you have to scrap it, kittymom! It looks so pretty!!

I have a few more squares done for the baby blanket, and even more motifs started.
It's not exactly well-thought-out, so it won't look very uniform. But i like it that way. Hehe. Hopefully my friends do, too!
