hey whoopdeeogo!  nice to hear from you.  Do you still use the turtle quilt? Smiley

It is not really cold enough for quilts in Texas.  That does not stop me from making them. I also use thin 100% cotton batting and I display them on a quilt rack on my wall (and gift them).

Heck ya I love that quilt to death! I still show everyone who comes over! Its pretty much the most amazing quilt ever! Smiley

Hahaha, you're too nice.  I'd love a photo of you with it and/or how you display it tho.  I kind of collect pix of gifted quilts being used.

Thanks all!  I too am very much in love with scrappy quilts.  I might go a little less bright on my next bed quilt but I am always drawn to happy statement quilts.  I mixed in some solids and polka dots (and other small prints) in an effort to tone down the energy level somewhat.

Thanks!

I have to admit, I was careful to cut the diamonds correctly to avoid that problem.  I cut out the diamonds using a cardboard template with a line drawn thru the center of the diamond to remind me that had to be parallel to an edge.  Sometimes I wanted to save fabric and turn the diamond to fit better but I reminded myself that would give me frustrating stretching problems.
