you freeze them... right after you pour the filling,,,makes them stay together and come out

i use a totally diff recipe for this so I actually don't know how these are made (surely not much has changed I would think) but I have to ask did you refrigerate them at all?

Yes.  After not being able to get the first cup out, I even froze them.  It helped a little...

Just to clarify, these aren't exactly like peanut butter cups.  The cup is chocolate, filled with piped mousse.  The top is not covered in chocolate.

This is EXACTLY what I used to make peanut butter cups for my partner last year for vaneltines day. I did the first chocolate layer (the bottom and the sides) let the sit in the freezer, and then did the peantbutter and the chocolate top. He is very picky about everything (and his gf making him something special has no exception lol) but he LOVED these! They came out great (sometimes they didnt want to come out too easily, buy you just need to turn it upside down and tap the bottoms). I highly recomend this!

theintermission:  Out of curiosity..what kind of chocolate were you using? Was it the Martha kind where she actually grows the cacao beans and has her elves make it (LOL) or just melted chocolate chips or something else? I'm just trying to think this thing out for you...hmmm...

Agreed. Martha is not of this earth. It's definately a love/hate thing. You either hate her, love her, love to hate her or in my case hate that you love her. Well, occassionally like her ideas anyway.  Wink

Sorry they didn't hold up. The cupcakes sound like a great idea, or you could just sit down with a spoon and enjoy!

Yes, I was using her special elf chocolate.  I found it on Ebay...lol   Cheesy

It came in a bag that said "Ghirardelli," oddly enough...
