I got the idea to make these using craftylittlemonkey's super easy tutorial take on the Teesha Moore style!
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=356111.0

I just used composition notebooks and glued some fabric on the cover and then glued on the front "patch". These are so easy to make and are so one of a kind! I made these both for swaps..they make great gifts!

I made these two journal covers for another swap recently! They are a little more simpler but with the basic concept! Sorry the pictures are sideways!!! OOps!

I used a silver irradescent tinsel thread. I love that stuff! So pretty but doesn't show up well in pictures!

Mandykaye, that is beautiful!  I'm working on covering some blank journals right now and I'm going to try this technique with paper.

I recently sorta gave up on machine sewing and have all of these scraps around, I thought I was through  with fabric but these are so inspiring. You have a good eye for arangement (color. size and placement) .

I am not one to sew using precise measurements or stitches so I love this kind of abstract ,anything goes, kind of sewing! Its such an easy way to expres yourself!
