I've been meaning to start re-conning for a long long time (me being lazy is the reason), I am finally getting around to it.  I'm a little rusty with the sewing, and working with knits has never really been my thing, but I am going to keep at it.

Here is my newest thing.
I had a horse tank top sitting around for a long time, I never wore it because it didn't fit right, and it sat in a pile for about 4 years.
i started by cutting off the straps (sorry I had cut them before I took the photo.  Also I had to take the photo on my messy kitchen counter.)

With some spare grey material I had I made the top of the shirt, and with bottom I made a band with the bottom of an old black t-shirt I was never going to wear.

Hopefully this is just the beginning of a life long love affair with sewing (I really did miss it).  Also, sorry for no action shots. I'm currently feeling bloated and don't feel like being in a picture.

this is so cute!  I am seriously envious of people like you...creative minds who can look at two separate pieces of clothing and make a new, way cute one...can't wait to see what else you come up with!
