I've been changing up a ton of yucky clothing recently I've had lots of stuff stashed away and as part of my Hand-Me-Down Horror series on my blog, I've been storming through the huge pile with scissors in hand making one cute (I hope!) dress/top/skirt after another.

It's -40 with the windchill here today so I keep myself sane by sewing completely impractical Summer clothing, roll on Summer!  Grin

Here is a pleated skirt I changed into a V neck dress using Burdastyles Tara pattern http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/tara

Looks a little poofy in the 2nd pic but it's not when it's on... I promise!

Before shot (Urrrgh)

Hope you like, more info on my refashion blog.

Wouldn't have looked twice at that skirt in its original form... but the reconstruct is just gorgeous!  Can't believe how a new style transformed the print into something fresh and new!

The pattern looks so much better now that it's been freed from it's pleated prison.
