I took some of the items I've made for Sews, in to work today, and my coworkers wanted them! So I'm happy now with them, I think Sews will be too. In fact I'm giggling again at them.  Grin  I can't wait to mail these off! Gotta finish those last bits.... tonight while watching Next Top Model I'll be sewing away. Better than eating pizza while watching the show, like I used to do!  LOL

PJ.....I know exactally what you mean..... when I first started they seemed really small... now the scraps seem to be never ending....  its really hard believe that everything I have made has come from 2 FQ's.

Made some awesome headway on my items.  The one thing I measured wrong and thought I messed up on, I just turned into something else which works perfectly.  And even though I used more fabric altering that I will get more items than I originally planned.  YAY!!

Well! I looked at my leftover pieces and realized I had some nice shapes left and I whipped up something I hadn't thought of before - it's cute AND functional! But now I'm almost done - just some little fiddly things left, all the items are constructed and I'm just doing the finishing touches. WOO! I'll be mailing first thing Friday.  Or, rather, first thing Friday after I sleep in.  Especially seeing as it's 2:41am and I'm still awake and I *DO* have to be at work later this morning!  Oops.   Roll Eyes  Grin  Oh well, insomnia equaled finishing sewing!!!

I will not be a mega-scrap user, mainly because my items were easier to chunk up the whole fat quarter with, not as many little bits leftover. Smiley Maybe one more eensy thing I can whip up, but then I'm truly finished. I'm so happy! Hee hee hee.

I finally made it to the store yesterday and got new fabric.  I've already made 2 items.  Hopefully I'll get the big one done tonight, then I jsut have to manage the scraps.  I'm much happier with the fabric.  Plus I finally found thw 2 fq's to send.

I remembered to sew first, then cut this time.   Grin

Entering a whole new world of swap anxiety here - instead of my normal "will she like it? Did I learn enough about her in our few exchanges to have picked something that fits her tastes? Did I craft it well enough that she wont think it is trash?" Now we are adding in "Could i have made more items to use up every last scrap of fabric?" Naah, i get anxious enough without adding in more worry. Not going to worry about it, maybe, sorta, i dunno...

I finished my three main items yesterday.  It turns out that my measurements must have been off for one thing, because it came out smaller than I intended.... hopefully my partner will be able to use it for something anyway.  Undecided  No I need to figure out what to do with the scraps....!
