Oh and Lime- your so organized! I have a bag that contains my FQ that is squashed into the bin of scraps. There is no organization beyond that. Its chaos in there. Utter chaos! And to get to anything I just dump it out on the floor and sort through it. not a good system. Do you want to come over and organize mine for me?

Maybe the next "craft"along should be an "organize-our-stashes"-along! lol  My fabric is all just stuffed into bags, too.

Oh, and an inexpensive way to get fat quarters occurred to me this week.  JoAnns has certain quilters' cottons on sale for $2.50 a yard.  That makes it $1.25 for two fat quarters. Smiley

I'm hoping to join this swap if I get feedback from some other swaps in time - I have the perfect pattern idea, I think...

Well tha tis one way to sort them!   Cheesy  I hit the mother load of all yard sales a year or so back and ended up with 14 - 18gallon totes full of yards and yards of fabric...mostly suiting wools.  It was a litteral pickup truck load of fabric (got it all for $30!!).  I have all the totes in the basement labled wool, wool, wool, wool, velvet, wool, wool, wool, MISC??!!  and what is this stuff??

Even with all that stash I still buy new fabric for blouses and dresses.  I am starting to work on the stash as it costs pennies per yard (if that) and if I trash a pattern it is no big loss.

LimeRiot, I think we need clarification on the dimensions of a fat quarter.  One yard if fabric yields 4 fat quarters, doesn't it?? (That's why it's called a quarter)
