Thank you guys for organizing this!!

Our pleasure! We started talking about this idea and got so excited about it. I'm glad others feel the same way.

Sorry to keep you up tonight, MistressT.  Cheesy

Our puppy, Betty, will be relieved that she will not be taking the blame for tonight's lack of sleep.  Speaking of creepy circus and puppies, anyone know a gypsy that would want to buy a puppy?.   Shocked  Sigh.

I'm not a gypsy but I heart Betty and with as many dogs as we have in this house, we probably wouldn't even notice one more.

I'm planning on staying up late too. I want to work on some of my other swap goodies so I can free up time to focus on this one!!

I'm glad to see the common perspective amongst everyone thus far. Smiley I much prefer tongue-in-cheek wicked to truly sinister wicked. Of course, our definitions may vary widely in defining what that means!

Looking forward to partnering -- I'd be thrilled with ANY partner in this swap!

<snip>Also, yeah, I was thinking more along the lines of creepy/weird wicked circus, not gory/legitimately terrifying circus... I think dingy, filthy, vintagey would be pretty awesome. <snip>

Yes, definitely!

Wow, what a swap line-up! And I don't know if that's any sort of record for filling a swap, but there can't be many that fill up in 6 hours!

I also like the battered sideshow vibe. Mummified mermaids and 2-headed calves! One of my favourite movies is "The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao", with Tony Randall as a 3000-year old circus presenter. There are some clips on YouTube if you're interested.

Unfortunately for my bank account the shop closest to me always has the best local selection of G45 paper!

I read Geek Love more years ago than I care to admit!

Oh, I heart Betty to pieces, but... puppies!

Oh, I'm not staying up late... we're terribly elderly in our habits since the puppy and go to bed at 8:30 many nights!  I just didn't sleep very much last night and now that I'm all excited about partners and making....  ACK!  Squee!
